The first photograph on the top was taken in Portland, I was trying to work on value and contrast and different eye levels. In the images on the bottom, I was trying to change the colors of my original photo to create different moods. I worked on the photos on the Adobe Photoshop C56 (64)bit .
My concentration idea is to compare and contrast city and rural architecture. The principles of design that I am going to use in my photos are Value + Contrast, Analogous and secondary color schemes, and point of view. My concentration idea connects to me because I moved from a big city to a small town and have noticed similarities and differences between the two.

The photos that I took over the
weekend are of different landscapes of Hood River. I tried to photograph the
landscapes at interesting angles and lighting. My concentration idea is to take
different photographs of Hood River and to take some of different places in
Portland. I want to create different moods in my photos that fit the small town
vs. big city theme. I’ll do that by taking photos that have different angles,
lighting and colors so I won’t have to do a lot of editing. I do not have many
photos of places in Portland yet because I didn’t have the time get there over
the weekend, but I’m trying. I’ll probably mess around with Photoshop. This
weekend I'm going to do some research on how I can take photos of buildings at
interesting angles. I also took photos of a female basketball player over the
weekend because that was my original idea, but I changed my mind.
